Ahhh that blue gown is all kinds of gorgeousness! I did blue shoes (the same Badgely Mischka's in the crinoline shot, but in a medium blue).

Such an amazing blog post! I love the use of blue ... Super like the blue signatures at the bottom of the shoes in the last picture. I hope I can incorporate some of these ideas this season.

I like these ideas, particularly the embroidary! I just wore blue undergarments to have the blue end covered. Although, I did have some blue flowers in my bouquet as well.

I embroidered our wedding date into the lining of my dress. Thinking about turning the dress into a Christmas tree skirt and adding birth dates and future family wedding dates to it - a sort of family history!

I have what I think may be a unique touch - my dad was FDNY and died in the line of duty. I got someone from his firehouse to get me an FDNY patch to sew under my gown as my blue and this was he can walk me down the aisle.

November 8, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterEileen

Hi Elizabeth, I love the Christmas tree skirt idea. Now I wish I still had my dress. And Eileen, such a beautiful and touching gesture to honor your dad. It makes my heart sing. Sorry that it took me so long to reply. I just had a baby and time just gets away from me. xo
